Pensacola picked up a win at Five County Stadium, bumping off the Jackson Generals, 5-3. Pitcher Doug Merkel was a major reason the Blue Wahoos emerged victorious. The winning pitcher was Merkel, now 3-2. He tossed 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 7. The loss drops Jackson to 12-10.
