Hammers Drop Shuckers, 9-7, with Late Score
The Mississippi Hammers topped the Biloxi Shuckers, 9-7, in Southern League action at MGM Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Mississippi first baseman Manny Tobías. Picking up his 6th save was former first round draft pick Esteban Soto. The Hammers raised their record to 12-7.

Elton Burton delivered a big hit for Mississippi. The catcher drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hammers ahead, 9-7. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Tobías, "and then get after the next one."
