Lonnie Johnston knocked in 3 runs to help Pensacola beat Chattanooga, 6-3. The Waterville, Minnesota native tallied 2 singles and 1 home run. Jon Raleigh, the winning pitcher, is now 2-1. He went 8 innings, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits, while fanning 5 and walking 3. Dave Brower earned the save for Pensacola, his 2nd.

Johnston had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a first pitch curveball from Dave Fleming, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Blue Wahoos a 6-3 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Johnston.

"It's still just a game," said Johnston, "whether you win or lose."

The win brings the Blue Wahoos to 10-7, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
