Montgomery Biscuits starter Kevin Rafuse hurled his team past the Jacksonville Suns, 5-2. Rafuse got the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed 6 hits and walked 1 over 7.2 innings. Rafuse allowed 2 runs. Glen Hoskins saved it for Montgomery.

The Biscuits got a big at-bat from third baseman Eric MacKinley. For the game, MacKinley went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Montgomery a 2-0 lead.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Rafuse, "and then get after it again."
