Giants Bridle Twins, 4-2
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Minnesota Twins and San Francisco Giants get after it.
San Francisco Giants starter Don Labonte was in fine form against the Minnesota Twins at AT&T Park, leading his team to a win, 4-2. Labonte picked up the win for San Francisco, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 8-12.
The Giants got a big at-bat from shortstop Leury Garcia. For the game, Garcia was 1-3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 16th double of the season gave San Francisco a 3-1 lead.
"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Garcia said.
The Giants improve their record to 75-82 with the win over Minnesota.
