Herta Excels, But Reds Win
The Cincinnati Reds overcame a good performance by Atlanta right fielder Luis Herta to knock off Atlanta, 10-7, at SunTrust Park. Herta went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Bert Gooderston was the winner. He's now 15-14. The loser was 25-year old left-handed pitcher Rocky Edwards. Dave Parsons notched his 50th save in 53 chances.

Making an impact for Cincinnati was first baseman Jorge Llerena. He drilled a double off Rocky Edwards in the top of the fourth. For the game, Llerena went 2 for 5 with 2 doubles.

"Nice win for us," said Llerena. "Now we'll go after the next one."

The defeat makes Atlanta 67-90.
