Rays Rally Late to Nip Red Sox
The Boston Red Sox could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Tony Nava into a win. Instead, the Tampa Bay Rays prevailed, 3-2. Nava threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. The win elevated the Rays to 81-73.

The Rays got a clutch hit from second baseman Ismael Ramírez. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Rays.

"Our team found a way to get it done," said Ramírez.
