The Texas Rangers rode a solid performance from 24-year-old starting pitcher Iván Galló to a win, beating the New York Mets, 6-0, at Citi Field. The setback makes New York 56-100.

The Mets had their hands full with Galló, who overpowered New York hitters while racking up 14 strikeouts.

"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Galló.
