Astros Stumble, Lose to Phillies
The Philadelphia Phillies stopped the Houston Astros, 10-2, behind an impressive performance from Maikel Franco. The six-time All-Star made life miserable for Houston pitching. He went 2-5 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Philadelphia reliever Austin Brice picked up the win, upping his record to 11-4. Vince McSweeney shouldered the loss. Philadelphia goes to 87-61. The win puts them 2 games up in their division.

Philadelphia used the bat of Anthony Rizzo to get the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Phillies ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Robby Jenkins said.
