Garcia Powers Giants Offense
|
The San Francisco Giants did just enough to sneak past the Los Angeles Dodgers, 7-6, at AT&T Park. San Francisco left fielder Avisail Garcia, in particular, had a standout performance. San Francisco reliever Chet Greene was the winner. His record is now 1-4. The losing pitcher was Miguel Castro. Ritzi Mendoza closed it out for his 11th save.
Garcia had a clutch at-bat in the bottom of the eighth for the Giants. Coming up with the bases loaded and San Francisco trailing 6-5, he hit a 2-run single.
"We'll take this win and move on," said Garcia.
The Giants, at 70-76, sit in last place in the National League West Division.
