Riding the 4-hit performance of the fan favorite Billy Wood, the Milwaukee Brewers stopped the Texas Rangers, 8-2. Curt Wilkerson was credited with the save, his 5th in 9 tries. The win gives Milwaukee a season record of 76-69.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Dave Thomas? The Milwaukee right fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Brewers on top, 3-0. For the game, Thomas had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
