New York Beaten, 9-4, by Toronto
|
Toronto designated hitter Jim Weber contributed significantly to his team's 9-4 win over the New York Yankees. Weber went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Blue Jays. Toronto has run its win streak to 5 straight.
In the top of the eighth, the Blue Jays grabbed the lead when Weber hit his 2nd home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Caleb Williams made it 7-4, Toronto.
"Nice to keep our winning streak intact," said Weber.
