Aurora Come Up Short at San Francisco, 5-4
Getting a good performance from third baseman Nolan Arenado, the San Francisco Giants defeated the Vancouver Aurora, 5-4. Arenado went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs for the Giants. The winning pitcher was Jeremiah Searle. His record is now 2-3. The right-hander went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits for the Giants. Ritzi Mendoza, credited with the save, is now 9 for 10 in save opportunities.

With San Francisco leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Arenado hit a slider from Eric Kennedy for a 2-run double. It was his 31st double of the season and put the Giants ahead, 3-0.
