The Chicago White Sox beat the Minnesota Twins, 11-4, at Target Field. The win was due in part to left fielder António García, who was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3. Rocky Thompson, who is tied for 5th in the AL in complete games with 1, was the winner. He's now 10-8. The loser was Huascar Ynoa. The Twins, now 58-81, have lost 4 in a row.

Chicago used the clutch hitting of Mike Hurt to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the sixth inning to give the White Sox the lead, 9-4. For the game, Hurt had 1 single and 2 doubles in 5 at-bats.
