The Texas Rangers picked up a win at Globe Life Park in Arlington, downing the Cleveland Guardians, 4-3, in 11 innings. On the mound for Texas was right-hander Iván Galló, who played a pivotal role in the win. Lou Green picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 6-7. Rodolfo Villasmil suffered the loss. Texas is now 64-68, Cleveland 55-74.

The Rangers got a clutch hit from first baseman Chris Moody. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Rangers.

"To become 'battle-tested,'" said Moody, "you need to compete in this kind of contest."
