Vince McSweeney, who is tied for 10th in the AL with a 7.8 K/9 rate, had a strong outing for the Toronto Blue Jays against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. With the win, Toronto raised its record to 64-55.

Alfredo Salinas had a big 2-run double for the Blue Jays in the top of the second inning. With Toronto leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a sinker from Josuke Mizuno, who signed a 8-year contract worth $238,400,000 on 12/11/2024, and swatted a double to center. It was his 31st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Blue Jays ahead, 4-0.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Salinas said.
