The San Francisco Giants picked up a win at Citi Field, knocking off the New York Mets, 4-3. Starting pitcher Gerrit Cole played a key role in the triumph. Juan Sánchez, who is tied for 2nd in the NL in holds with 18, earned the save for San Francisco. San Francisco leads the National League West Division by 2 games.

San Francisco used a well-timed hit by Benny Brown to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Giants ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We found a way to get it done," Cole said.
