Minnesota right fielder Artie Cochran had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 5-4, to Oakland at Target Field. Cochran went 2-4 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Evan Marshall, now 5-4, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. With the win, Oakland has a record of 50-59. Minnesota falls to 47-64.

Oakland used a clutch hit from Drew Dosch to get the win. The first baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to put the Athletics ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Dosch.
