Guardians Come Up Short at Cincinnati, 2-1
Walt Sharpe, who is tied for 5th in the NL in quality starts with 13, had a strong outing for the Cincinnati Reds against the Cleveland Guardians at Great American Ball Park. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 2-1 win. Earning his 33rd save of the year was Dave Parsons. After today's action, Cincinnati sits at 53-54; Cleveland slips to 52-58.

Blake Anderson was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Cincinnati. The 30-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh.
