Baltimore got a knockout punch from Emmitt Shiplack. The second baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Shiplack told the Baltimore Citizen. "You win just by scoring more runs."
