Behind a solid performance from catcher Alex Martin, the Minnesota Twins defeated the Cleveland Guardians, 11-5. Martin went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice for the Twins. The victory gives Minnesota a record of 56-48.

In the top of the seventh, the Twins grabbed the lead when Martin hit his 12th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Heath Hembree made it 7-4, Minnesota.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Robin Ventura said.
