Royals Lose to Spiders, 11-7
|
Behind a solid performance from left fielder Tito Polo, the Cleveland Spiders defeated the Kansas City Royals, 11-7. Polo was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Spiders. The winning pitcher was Anthony DeSclafani. His record is now 7-7. The right-hander went 5.2 innings, allowing 6 runs on 10 hits for the Spiders. Cleveland is now 49-53, Kansas City 53-49.
