					| Mariners Absorb 6-1 Loss at Target Field |
					| A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Minnesota Twins and Seattle Mariners.
Seattle had no answer for 25-year old right-handed pitcher Jared Turner. The Minnesota Twins starter stymied Mariners hitters, helping the Twins cruise to victory, 6-1. Turner got the win, improving to 7-5. He gave up 4 hits and walked 3 over 5 innings. He allowed 1 run.

Gabriel Corporan took Seattle hurler Dave Evans deep in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run put the Twins on top, 2-0. In all, Corporan had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"It was a solid team effort," Corporan said. "That's usually what it takes to win."

Minnesota is now 38-42, while Seattle is 39-39.
