Miller Park was the site of the home opener for the Milwaukee Brewers. The contest featured a prime matchup between Joey Gatto of the visiting Washington Nationals and Tom Coady of the Brewers. The final score was 6-2, the Nationals getting the win. Joey Gatto turned in the best performance.

Washington used the hitting of Bryce Harper to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put the Nationals on top, 3-0. For the game, Harper had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
