Gómez Leads Cardinals to Win
The 2026 season is off to a good start for the St. Louis Cardinals. The hometown Cardinals dumped the Colorado Rockies, 8-3, at Busch Stadium. Raúl Gómez spearheaded the win. He went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2.

St. Louis grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Gómez hit a run-scoring double off Josh Riddle. His 1st double of the season put the Cardinals out in front, 3-2.

"Solid performance from our side," said Cardinals manager Aaron Thompson.
