Marlins Pick Up 6-2 Win Against Pittsburgh
Riding the 2-hit performance of the former first round draft pick Edgardo Medina, the Miami Marlins stopped the Pittsburgh Pirates, 6-2. Abel Jones earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0. The Marlins raised their record to 2-1.

Miami third baseman Oscar Price contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a splitter to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 3rd hit of the season and put the Marlins ahead, 3-2.

Medina called the win "an overall solid one."
