The New York Mets picked up a win at Coors Field, downing the Colorado Rockies, 5-3. On the mound for New York was right-hander Juan Mismit, who played a pivotal role in the win. New York has 3 straight wins, Colorado 4 straight losses.

Dustin Peterson came through with a big-time hit for New York. The third baseman smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 5-3. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"That was a really good outing by Juan," said New York manager Raul Dominguez.
