Twins Get Clutch Win, 4-3
|
Minnesota starter Dorian Collins pitched well against the Kansas City Royals at Target Field. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3, in 10 innings. The win belonged to Jorge Fajardo in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Mike Long took the loss for Kansas City. With the win, Minnesota raised its record to 36-31.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Minnesota left fielder Yasiel Puig, facing Mike Long, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Twins the 4-3 win.
Puig described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
