The WL Nationals did just enough to sneak past the WL Royals, 5-4, at Aztecs Ballpark. WL pitcher Patrick Murphy earned player of the game honors. WL reliever Pancho Escobar picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Anastasio López was saddled with the loss. WL has now lost 9 in a row.

Wilson Rivera was the walk-off hero for WL. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Nationals left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said WL manager Dave Foley. "The effort was great."
