The game between WL and WL is in the books, despite a little rain.
WL pitcher Carter Hope gave the Braves all they could handle, but in the end, WL left Argonauts Stadium with a 4-3 win. Hope allowed no earned runs on 3 hits over 5 innings. WL reliever Luis Gamez got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Anastasio López was tagged with the loss.
The Braves got a big at-bat from center fielder Leonardo Molina. For the game, Molina went 1-5. In the top of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 9th hit of the season gave WL a 4-3 lead.
Molina attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
The Royals, now 0-8, have lost 8 in a row.
