Astros Popped by Cubs, 6-4
|
The game between Chicago and Houston is in the books, despite a little rain.
The Chicago Cubs picked up a win at Wrigley Field, downing the Houston Astros, 6-4. On the mound for Chicago was right-hander Nick Travieso, who played a pivotal role in the win. Orlando Romero earned the save, his 13th.
The Cubs got a big at-bat from shortstop Rob Snyder. For the game, Snyder was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 12th double of the season gave Chicago a 3-2 lead.
"That was a really good outing by Nick," said Chicago manager Warren Schaeffer.
The Astros, now 24-38, have lost 4 in a row.
