The Houston Astros wasted an inspired, 7-inning effort from starter Greg Connolly, falling, 2-1, to the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. Orlando Romero notched his 12th save in 13 chances. The Cubs raised their record to 24-38.

Had Kevin Wilson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Wilson hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Cubs.

"If you ever get this game figured out," said Houston manager Mike Napoli, "let me know."
