Riding the 4-hit performance of shortstop Torazo Ramírez, the Tampa Bay (GCL) Rays stopped the visiting Detroit (GCL) Tigers, 7-3, in Game 3 of the Round 2 today. Ramírez was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles for the Rays, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

José Lugo dealt the Tigers a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with runners on 1st and 3rd and Tampa Bay (GCL) trailing 2-1, Lugo hit a 1-0 curveball for a 3-run home run.

"It's still just a game," said Ramírez, "whether you win or lose."
