Great Falls Breaks Through for First Win in Round 2; Now Trails 2-1
|
Overcoming a bravura effort from opposing starter Johnathan Hall, the Great Falls Voyagers slipped past the Ogden Raptors by the score of 1-0 and got their first win in the 2025 Round 2. Hall threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball for the Voyagers. The win narrows Great Falls's deficit to 2-1.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Voyagers had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when shortstop Manny Nájera hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Johnathan Hall and made the score 1-0, Voyagers. Nájera went 2 for 3 with 2 singles.
Nájera said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Centene Stadium in Great Falls.
