Pianta Blasts Giants, Spiders Take Game 3, 9-3
The Cleveland (AZL) Spiders moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting San Francisco (AZL) Giants at Chain of Lakes Park by a score of 9-3. Spiders first baseman Florent Pianta did some major damage. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. The win gives the Spiders a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Round 1.

In the bottom of the first, Pianta had one of his most important at-bats: a 2-run triple off Dave Allen that staked the Spiders to a 2-0 lead.

"This team is real focused right now," said Cleveland (AZL) manager Andrew Bailey.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Monday, September 11th , 2023.
