The Colorado Rockies topped the New York Mets, 6-1, in National League action at Citi Field. The standout performance belonged to Colorado pitcher and La Vega, Dominican Republic, native Christopher Acosta. With the win, Colorado has a record of 32-26. New York falls to 20-37.

Colorado used a clutch at-bat from Arturo Hernández to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Rockies ahead, 6-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Hernández.
