The rain came, as predicted, but the Tampa Bay (VSL) Rays and Detroit (VSL) Tigers were able to complete their ballgame.

The Tampa Bay (VSL) Rays racked up a win at VSL Tigers Complex, bumping off the Detroit (VSL) Tigers, 15-3. Kevin Anderson, who started for Tampa Bay (VSL), pitched effectively for his team. Anderson got the win, improving to 6-1. He gave up 11 hits and walked 1 over 8.2 innings. He allowed 3 runs.

Joe Galván had a big 2-run home run for the Rays in the top of the first inning. With Tampa Bay (VSL) leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a curveball from Jorge Jiménez and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 4th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rays ahead, 3-0.

"Kevin was dealing," said Tampa Bay (VSL) manager David Davalillo.

The Rays bumped their record to 20-11 with this latest triumph.
