Mariners Get Past Chicago (VSL) for 3-2 Win
Seattle (VSL) Mariners starter António Reyes pitched a strong game against the Chicago (VSL) Cubs at VSL Mariners Complex, leading the Mariners to victory, 3-2. Reyes, now 1-3, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Marlon Lyons earned the save for Seattle (VSL), his 2nd of the year.

The Mariners got a lift from pinch hitter Steve Moore, who in the bottom of the eighth stroked a first pitch curveball into center for a 2-run single. It was his 8th hit of the season and put the Mariners ahead, 3-2.
