Tigers Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
Detroit (VSL) Tigers starter Leborio Crespo was in the groove. He led his team to a win over the Tampa Bay (VSL) Rays, 4-2. The win elevated the Tigers to 18-3.
Manny Sánchez, who is tied for 3rd in the VSL in total bases with 52, had a direct impact on the outcome. Sánchez contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Detroit (VSL) up, 4-1.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Detroit (VSL) manager Nate Long.
