Tigers Pomper No-Hits Rays
Detroit (VSL) Tigers starter Flip Pomper came up big at VSL Tigers Complex with an exceptional 1-0 win against the Tampa Bay (VSL) Rays. Not only did he whip them, but Pomper held them hitless, too.

"My arm was a bit sore in warmups," confessed Pomper. "Sometimes you go out there and you're not feeling all that hot. You get into the game and all of a sudden in the seventh inning you look up and see the scoreboard and think to yourself, 'Oh, my goodness, I have a no-hitter!' You're so focused on what you're doing, it just happens."

In the course of the no-hitter, Pomper collected 8 strikeouts and surrendered 2 walks -- a day good enough to get his name in the history books.
