Getting offensive support from Zhi-bin Li, the Detroit (VSL) Tigers topped the Chicago (VSL) Cubs, 9-2. Li went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the Tigers. Cristián Atalaia, the winning pitcher, is now 1-0. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits, while fanning 8 and walking 1. Elvis Olavarría closed the door for Detroit (VSL), picking up his 1st save of the year.
