Gramacho, Mariners Fall to Cubs
Chicago (VSL) and Seattle (VSL) duked it out and the Cubs came out victorious.

The Seattle (VSL) Mariners got a superb performance from designated hitter Adryão Gramacho. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Chicago (VSL). The Cubs won the game, 9-8. Gramacho hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. António Salazar locked down his 1st save.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Sergio Vázquez came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Seattle (VSL) pitcher Loren Innis, he hit a 1-1 sinker for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Chicago (VSL) on top, 9-7.

"We came out aggressive," said Cubs manager Ramon Borrego. "We came out swinging the bats."

Chicago (VSL), now 3-0, is setting the league on fire so far.
