Pirates Squeeze Out Win in Pitching Duel
The Pittsburgh Pirates picked up a win at PNC Park, dropping the Milwaukee Brewers, 1-0. Luis Gallegos, who is tied for 10th in the NL with a 3.29 ERA, was the difference-maker. Artie Kavanagh notched his 1st save of the season. The setback makes Milwaukee 27-25.

The Pirates got a big boost from second baseman Chris Riley who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first inning off Brewers hurler Tim Hankins. It was his 21st RBI of the season and put Pittsburgh on top, 1-0.

In postgame remarks, Gallegos hailed his team's "single-minded determination."
