Hit Parade: Lindor Pops 5 Hits
|
It was a sensational day at the plate for Francisco Lindor as he led the charge to a nifty 13-1 win over the Nationals. The Philadelphia shortstop was pure misery for the Washington pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 6 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting.
"Lindor put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Jesse Mitchell, manager for the Nationals, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Francisco Lindor singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
On the year, Lindor has hit .330 with 2 home runs, 29 RBIs and scored 32 runs.
