A good time was had by all at Timberwolves Stadium, where the Houston (GCL) Astros and New York A2 (GCL) Yankees2 tangled.

In a low-scoring game between New York A2 (GCL) and Houston (GCL), pitcher Lou Lane was excellent. The New York A2 (GCL) left-hander helped his team knock off the Astros, 3-0. Bob Wolfe earned save number 4 this season.

Mike Cross said the idea of hitting a home run barely crossed his mind when he came to bat in the bottom of the seventh. Cross belted a 3-run home run to stake New York A2 (GCL) to a 3-0 lead. His 1st home run of the season came off Houston (GCL) pitcher Ken Nichols.

"I know we have our doubters," said Houston (GCL) manager Corey Ragsdale. "But I still have high hopes for this team."

New York A2 (GCL) now sits in last place in the Northeast Division at 21-34.
