The Minnesota (GCL) Twins extended their winning streak.
The Boston (GCL) Red Sox could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Kevin Walters into a win. Instead, the Minnesota (GCL) Twins prevailed, 4-1. Walters threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Juan Domínguez earned the win, while former first round draft pick Kevin Walters took the loss for Boston (GCL). Picking up the save was Sergio Puenta, his 3rd.
Steve Lee had a direct impact on the outcome. Lee contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Minnesota (GCL) up, 2-0.
"When their pitchers are leaving stuff over the heart of the plate, we're not missing it," said Minnesota (GCL) manager Darren O'Day.
