Though the conditions were not ideal, the FCL Cardinals and FCL Rays came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

The exploits of right fielder Dan Carlson helped the FCL Cardinals defeat the FCL Rays, 7-2. Carlson was 2-4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. FCL reliever Wayne Withers picked up the win, raising his record to 1-0. Charlie Zimmerman was tagged with the loss.

The Cardinals got a big at-bat from third baseman Pancho Medina. For the game, Medina went 1 for 5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave FCL a 3-1 lead.

Medina called the win "a pick-me-upper."
