The FCL Orioles trumped the FCL Red Sox, 15-1, at Ed Smith Stadium. FCL catcher Skip Moser was terrific. He went 3-5 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Jeff Everson, 4-2, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4.2 innings. The Orioles lead the South Division by 3 games.

Baptiste Gandon went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for FCL. The 21-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Cedric McCarthy. It was his 19th RBI of the season.

FCL manager Kenny Holmberg called the blowout loss "just something that happens."
