The FCL Yankees got a superb performance from pitcher Skip Wiggins, but the FCL Cardinals still won the game, 8-6. Wiggins threw 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball. Brad Willis closed the game out for FCL, earning his 2nd save. With the win, FCL has a record of 13-29. FCL falls to 19-25.
Orlando Castro aided the FCL cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth. For the game, the pinch hitter drove in one run.
"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said FCL manager Ender Inciarte.
