Netuno Gueifo, who is tied for 3rd in the FCL in wins with 6, never let the Phillies get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his curveball, to pitch the Blue Jays to a win, 3-1. FCL raised its record to 32-12 with the win.

Walt Schultz, who is tied for 6th in the FCL in hits with 61, had a direct impact on the outcome. Schultz contributed a run-scoring strikeout in the top of the sixth inning to put FCL up, 3-1.

"I like our moxie," said Blue Jays manager Dan Jennings.
